Hyperflows TMIC Kits are constructed using high quality Bar and Plate Intercooler cores which provide a massive increase to the cooling area, the front and back tanks are high flowing lightweight CNC machined billets, carved from 6061-T6 aluminium. The split back tank Intercooler design provides an increase in cooling efficiency and power over the standard single plenum design as per factory and our superseded Version 1 TMIC. To ensure a perfect fit the Intercooler brackets have also been CNC machined.
Hyperflow Kits allow WRX replacement aftermarket BOVs to be used or the factory blow off valve can be retained, and will bolt straight on.
On a stock MY06 STi (with larger factory intercooler than WRX version) tested on a Performance dyno the power gain was 14Kw at the wheels with no other change. Combine this with the added safety net for your engine and potential to safely increase boost for even bigger power gains, changing to the Hyperflow TMIC would be worthwhile and a cost effective upgrade to any WRX.
This Intercooler is ideal for power levels up to 350Hp (260Kw) the TMIC has proven to constantly offer less than 1psi of pressure drop which leads to lower intake temperatures and reduced strain on your turbocharger.
The Intercooler Finish comes either Mirror Polished or Powder Coat Black; installation is quick and easy and can be completed yourself at home.
Kits come with stainless hose clamps and Samco silicone hoses.
Note: STi Models are not supplied with a High Flow Y Pipe but come with extra parts to suit STi specific installation.
TMIC kits are available for Subaru WRX, STi, Forester and Legacy.
